Mother’s Day in London (March 2022)

This Sunday 27th it is Mother’s Day in the UK and I wanted to put together some inspiration for those of you who want to treat a special woman in your life!

Hydrafacial

The ultimate treat, I took my mum along for my favourite all time facial at their new flagship store in London. This facial consists of 5 steps to help cleanse, extract and hydrate, leaving your skin incredibly soft and with the most gorgeous glow! I seriously want to treat all of my friends to a Hydrafacial as it’s really helped my skin and so it makes the perfect gift for mums too. Prices depend on salon but usually start around £125.

Afternoon Tea + biscuit icing at Biscuiteers

I can’t think of anything more suitable for Mother’s Day than afternoon tea, and in London we are spoilt for choice! But I decided to take my mum to an afternoon tea at Biscuiteers, my favourite biscuit store, for a mimosa, tea and sandwiches, cakes, scones and biscuits a plenty. Biscuiteers also have biscuit icing appointments so I booked that for after our lunch and it was so much fun to get creative with my mum and have a giggle with icing and sprinkles.

Prices: Afternoon tea starts at £38 per person, add on £6 more Prosecco. Biscuit Icing is £36 for two people.

Make your own lipstick at Code Beauty

Something a little different, but I would highly recommend a bespoke lipstick experience at Code8 Beauty in their lovely Burlington Arcade store. Wether you want to try and re-create a favourite discontinued lipstick shade or create a totally unique shade that compliments your skin, just sit down with a Prosecco, give the team at Code 8 you brief and before your eyes they will create your custom shade! You can try it on, alter it some more, and finally it’ll be turned into your very own lipstick which you can also name. Price is from £75 per person or their Mother’s Day package is £150 for two people, with Prosecco and mum’s flower bouquet.

Champagne / Tea at Selfridges

And finally, I took my mum for a glass of champagne and a little shop in Selfridges. They have multiple champagne bars in the department store so we enjoyed some fizz and then went for a little shop – spritzed some perfumes, got some makeovers from the beauty stands and even considered getting ours ears pierced in store at Astrid and Miyu!

I hope this has given you some nice inspiration, not just for Mother’s Day but all year round!

Lots of love x
