Christmas Gifting with Boots

ad – contains partnership with Boots

I am hoping this Christmas will be very different to last; we’ll be able to spend quality time with our loved ones in the flesh, be able to laugh, hug and eat lots with them IRL rather than through a computer screen! And most importantly I am so looking forward to treating my loved ones with some gifts I know they’ll love.

One of my fav stores to shop for Christmas presents is Boots – their festive gifting range is incredible and they stock everything from beauty, homeware and even foodie items and so today I wanted to show you the Bag of Joy I put together for my sister. I also wanted to share some tips about how to find the best Christmas gifts for your loved ones this year, whether that’s a parent, sibling, friend, partner or NHS worker.

My sister has recently become a new mum to her very gorgeous daughter, Genevieve and it’s been hard adjusting to this new life of motherhood, so I wanted to get a Christmas gift for her that made her feel like her again!

My first tip for creating a bag of joy is to think of a rough theme for your loved one! My idea was an all round pamper treat for my sister for every step of the day – from easy, quick makeup application with luxury brands, to bath treats, complete with candles and chocolates and finally makeup remover to end the day. The fact I could purchase these all together from Boots makes gift buying so much easier. For you the theme might be vegan gifts, pyjama night treats, puzzles and grooming for men or even arts and crafts and fitness!

Here’s a more in depth look at what I purchased for my sister.

Firstly, my sister and I are huge fans of Mac, especially their lipsticks! I was so excited to see this mini set of lipsticks on the Boots website for just £25 as I knew she’d love it and the mini sizes are perfect for keeping in her handbag for quick touch ups on the go. I also chose an exclusive to Boots, Bobbi Brown Glam Packed Must Haves makeup kit. I adore Bobbi Brown but my sister hasn’t tried much from them before so I thought this kit would be a fantastic way for her to experiment with the brand. Also – this kit contains a couple of multi-task, easy application products such as the Pot Rouge which doubles up as a cheek and lip tint, which is perfect for her being a new mum!

For a luxury bath time pamper, I picked out a Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Try Me Set for £15 – this contains some of the best smelling body products that I know feel so indulgent and relaxing. I also chose a box of Lindor Lindt chocolate and a cracker of 3 votive Yankee Candles so she can relax fully in the bath.

Finally, to end her day I chose the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm which comes in the cutest Christmas packaging. This makeup remover leaves skin so soft and feels utterly luxurious as you massage it into the face and this set also contains a cleansing cloth too! Finally a little Ted Baker body spray that she can keep on her bedside table or in her handbag for a quick spritz of delight!

My second tip would be to decide a budget and stick to it. My budget for my sister was £100 and I got all of these, only straying over my budget by 99p!! Luckily Boots have a great range of gifts, stocking fillers and you can also filter between price ranges making it super easy to stay on track!

I really hope this has given you some Christmas gift inspiration! Let me know who you would create a Bag of Joy for this year!

Lots of love,
