BEAUTY + LIFESTYLE FAVOURITES – Feb 2020

It’s been AGES since I last wrote a favourite’s post! These used to be my favourite posts to write so (albeit being very old school 2k14 blogger), I’m going to bring this series back as a regular monthly feature on this blog!

In these posts I’ll be updating you on my favourite monthly beauty and lifestyle favs, including makeup, books, music, food and life!

bareMinerals Original Foundation (link): This has been my favourite foundation since 2018, it’s my every day go-to and you can always find a pot in my makeup bag. I never thought I’d be able to get away with using a powder foundation as I’ve really struggled with acne in the past, but this gives the most beautiful, buildable coverage which covers even the peskiest of red blemishes and scarring, whilst still looking natural and glow-y on the skin. I adore it.

Stila Eye Glitter in Kitten Karma (link): For a really easy touch of glamour I’ve been sweeping this glittery liquid eyeshadow on my eye lids; it perfectly transforms any makeup look from day to evening and I always get compliments on it!

Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in American Sweetheart (link): This is my current favourite ‘my lips but better’ lipstick. I actually have a bit of anxiety because I think it might be limited edition but I hope they’ll make it permanent. It’s what I wear pretty much daily in my weekly vlogs on YouTube – the perfect nudey-pink!

Hourglass Micro Brow Pencil (link): I really can’t fault this eyebrow product. The pencil is really miniature which allows you to draw on the most precise lines in your brows, leaving them looking natural and full! I’ve nearly run out of this so need to get a back up soon!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette (link): This palette has been one of my most reached for for a long time – it contains 5 matte neutral shades which I wear both smudged under my lower lash line and in the crease of my eye for a natural day time look.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (link): Another all-time favourite beauty product, I must have been through about 15 tubes of this in the last 4 years! It’s thick in consistency with great coverage but looks natural on the skin. I use this on blemishes and under my eyes everrryyday.

bareMinerals Liquid Highlighter in Free (link): I’ve been really into cream highlighter recently as it looks a little more natural and dewy than a powder and this is my favourite. Free is a shimmer-y champagne gold shade which blends in beautifully with my bronze and blush for a fresh, sculpted look!

Elizabeth Arden Mascara (link): Current favourite mascara! This is my first beauty product from Elizabeth Arden and I’ll definitely be checking out more of their makeup because of it. This really elongates and lengthens my lashes without leaving them clumpy, it also never smudges which is a massive bonus!

Benefit Hoola Bronzer (link): An iconic, cult bronzing product which works beautifully on my pale skin.

Molton Brown Oudh and Gold Accord EDT (link): I love this perfume SO much and I always get compliments when I wear it. It has notes of vanilla, black pepper, black tea, tobacco, honey and and Oudh and I’d really recommend popping into a Molton Brown store to give it a smell. If I could create a fragrance myself, it would smell a lot like this – sexy, musky and mysterious with a hint of sweetness!

Kiehls Cannibis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate (link): I was really curious when I first heard Kiehls were launching a CBD/cannibis skincare range but oh my goodness this stuff is MAGIC! It’s targeted for blemish prone skin and it seriously works – if my skin is misbehaving I press a couple of drops of this serum on to my face and the texture of my skin is really transformed by the morning. It also has really helped with hydration and it doesn’t irritate my skin or give me more spots… I’ve run out of this now so desperately need to buy some more. It’s pricey but I really rate it!

TV: I’ve been obsessed with Cheer on Netflix, if you haven’t seen already you need to watch it. It follows a cheer leading school in America as they train for the national championships – it’s gruelling, entertaining, funny and also hard to watch, you’ll fall in love with the students and binge watch in a weekend!

BOOKS: I’m currently reading Commute: An Illustrated Memoir of Female Shame by Erin Williams. I’ve never really read a graphic memoir but I’m really enjoying it so far, despite being gritty. It has beautiful illustrations which I keep finding myself photographing pages of to remember!

MUSIC: My fav musician, Josef Salvat, has just started releasing new music after a long break and I’m so here for it! I’ve spoken about him many times before on this blog, back when he first started releasing music in 2013 and I really love his new tracks ‘Alone’ and ‘Playground Love’.

FOOD: Both my boyfriend and I have recently become obsessed with Siracha… I know, we’re incredibly late to the party with this one, but we’ve been coating every dish in it. Can’t believe I went 31 years without it!

I’ll be back at the start of March for my next bunch of favs, but I hope you’ve enjoyed this one!

Oooh I need to try the Elizabeth Arden mascara, especially if it’s your favorite. I love trying new mascaras! :]
