Makeup for holiday!

I am so sorry for my absence – I have just come back from a two week holiday in Marrakech, Morocco!  I had an amazing time, I even managed a tiny tan (whilst wearing spf 50 all holiday!).  I will do an individual post on it with pictures after I download them all.

But for now I have pictures of all the makeup I took with me for the two weeks.  Anybody who has been reading this blog for a while will remember this post that I did before my holiday last year, I took way too much makeup and hardly used any of it.  I really tried to cut down what I took this year, but I still managed to take too much.

I’ve listed every product below with an estimate in brackets of how many times I used that product.  It was over 40 degrees in Morocco so on most days I didn’t wear any makeup at all (it was just way too hot to even bother) so anything that was used over 5 times was useful to take in my opinion!

As you can see I could have cut down a bit more, but I managed and it was lovely to get away from wearing full smokey eyes each day.  I gave my skin a breather too and now my skin is glowing which I’m really happy about.

Toiletry wise I took Paula’s Choice face wash, toner and moisturizer, TBS Mango body lotion & Cocoa Butter Body Butter, Batiste Dry Shampoo, Herbal Essences hair products, and an SPF of 50+ and 30 which were both used on my face and body daily.

I’m glad to be back home now (I couldn’t stand the heat much longer, I much prefer winter!) and I will return to blogging as usual as soon as I’m sorted.

How much do you take with you on holiday?  Do you think I took too much?

You can never predict how much make up you will use on your holiday. But just recently coming bk from Majorca. I only took 2 blushes, 2 mascaras, 2 lipsticks, a bronzer, foundation, 2 lipbalsm and 2 eye shadow paletees. To be honest with you, I wish I bought more because while I didnt have much variety too choose from 🙁 so nope you didnt carry alot alot just about right! 🙂

I have a rule – excluding my benefit blush boxes and Nars Illuminator that take up a lot of space, if it does not fit in my handbag sized Cath Kidston holiday makeup pouch, it can't come with me!

the body shop lightening touch – is it an under eye highlighter and does it compare to the ysl touche eclat just out of interest.

Rachel – Thats actually a realy food idea, I'm going to do that next time I go away! xx

Natalie – Hahah, thats exactly what I do too!!xx

Cotton – Really!??!ahah! What did you take? xxx

tinuvielx – I've never tried YSL touche eclat but from what I can tell its exactly the same thing. I use it to cover small spots or under eye bags, but its recommended mainly for dark circles under the eyes. Hope that helps! xx

Yup, you took FAR too much! But don't worry, I always make the same mistake too.

I such a hot climate I discovered I really use only a matte face powder, bronzer, 1or 2 few waterproof eye shadows and liners, waterproof mascara and a lipgloss. I always tend to carry all the other stuff too, but not any more. If I need anything, I could always buy it. Usually I do anyway 😛
