Bridal Beauty | London Wedding

It’s time to talk all things bridal beauty in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. I had such a beautiful and brilliant team of brands and humans involved in getting me wedding ready, so if you need any recommendations I hope the below is helpful!

Makeup: I’ve loved and used Bobbi Brown makeup for years (their foundations, lipsticks, cream blush and palettes are always in my makeup bag), so I was blown away when they offered to do mine and my bridesmaids makeup for the wedding. Jennifer did my makeup and not only did she make me feel beautiful, but she was also the loveliest, calming presence on the morning of such a special day. We had a makeup trial a month before the date where we experimented with different shades of eye shadows and so we knew exactly how we wanted the look on the day. I want to recreate my wedding makeup for you soon so let me know if you’d like a low down on the products and details!

Lashes: I knew that I wanted a lash treatment for my wedding day but was unsure of wether to have an LVL or lash extensions. After a lash trial a month before my wedding, I decided on a SVS + Classic Lash Extensions by Debbie at Nouveau Lashes – my fav lash treatment brand. I wanted a lash look that was effortlessly classic and timeless, that enhanced my natural eye shape but still looked striking, so I felt confident (and so I could also cry on the day without worrying about mascara running!). I couldn’t have been happier with my lashes on the day and they also lasted about a month after the day too, meaning I had them for our mini moon. Highly recommend Noveau lashes.

Brows: There is no other brand I would have trusted more with my brows with before my wedding, than HD Brows and their classic brow shaping treatment. It consists of a brow tint, thread, wax, trim and tweeze and they also taught me how to best fill in my brows with their eyebrow pencil on the day too. I’m always worried getting my brows done that they’ll end up too thin but HD brows have always listened to the shape and thickness that I want with every treatment. I also love their brow lamination too!

Nails: After scouring Pinterest, I decided on a classic French manicure with a little red love heart on my ring finger for my wedding day nails. I chose to support a local small business and visited Nail Lab E17 in Walthamstow and couldn’t have been happier with them! In fact, G loved them so much I also tried to create the love shape on his ring finger too for the day! I also had a rose-gold glitter on my toes to match my wedding band.

Hair: Again, there’s only one salon I’d trust to do my wedding hair and I’ve been going to them for the past 6 years or so! It’s the Samantha Cusick Salon in both Notting Hill and Fitzrovia. Sam balayged my hair two weeks before the wedding day, blending my roots in with lighter highlights and the colour was perfect – natural, blonde and beachy. For styling, I had Jack Davies from Samantha Cusick come to my hotel and create a half up, half down with a wrapped ponytail and waves which I felt so confident in!

Facials: My wedding day prep started back in January when I started getting monthly Hydrafacials. I had them every month in the lead up to the wedding, up until the week before our big day and I couldn’t recommend Hydrafacial enough. It uses they patented technology to detox with lymphatic drainage, cleanse, peel, extract, hydrate and rejuvenate your skin leaving it soft, clear and incredibly glowy! I went to the Cavendish Clinic in Fitzrovia for my facial as well as the Hydrafacial flagship store in Marylebone.

Fragrance: I’ve spoken quite a lot about my hunt for my wedding day fragrance, see here and here. On the day I wore two Jo Malone fragrances which layered together, created such a beautiful unique fragrance which to me felt warm, cosy, comforted and sexy. I wore Scarlet Poppy and Myrrh and Tonka and I now love wearing these perfumes as they remind me of the day! I also had the bottles engraved with our wedding date and initials which make them even more special to keep!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into my bridal beauty look – let me know if you have any questions!
