Charlotte Tilbury HappiKiss Lipsticks : Review + Swatches

Hey everyone! Over the past five months or so I fallen back in love with beauty products, big time. After going through a phase of not getting that excited about makeup, my love for experimenting with looks, trying out new products and geuininely getting excited to see the latest launches from brands has tumbled back into my life with force. I started this blog back in 2011 primarily for reviewing, sharing and recommending my fav beauty bits and I guess that’s why I’m so happy to get back into it again now.

So I’m kicking off my beauty reviews once again with a new-in collection from Charlotte Tilbury – which is also fast becoming my fave makeup brand.

Introducing the HappiKiss Hyaluronic Hydrating Lipstick Balms. These light, balm lipsticks come in 8 shades ranging from a barely there sheen (Crystal HappiKiss) through to a nude which will likely suit everyone (Pillow Talk), to an intense, deep Burgundy red which is the perfect evening shade (Happi-Berry).

I adore the formula of these lip products. They are moisturising and have a really glossy, balmy texture which feel beautiful to apply and wear. Because of this, they have a glossy look to them, making lips appear plump with a sheen – very on trend right now in 2021 with dewy, light, glossy skin & products being hailed over matte, chalky, powder textures. Whilst beautiful, I’d skip wearing these on a windy day to prevent any hair-stuck-in-lip-mishaps.

Although I love these products and find them lovely to wear, something minor about the packaging does annoy me; the fact that you can’t detract the lipstick bullet if you twist the product out too high – if that makes sense? It’s just annoying because I’m scared of twisting them up too much and because of that, maybe I don’t use as much product as I should and they appear patchy rather than a full smooth application.

Apart from that, I do like these balms and find them easy to wear on the daily. If you’re a fan of glossy, moisturising lip products with a pop of colour then you will love these.

They retail for £25 each and you can pick them up alongside your other favs from , with free delivery on orders over £49.

What’s your favourite shade from the swatches?

Lots of Love, Katie,
