HAIR GOALS!

I wanted to talk to you today about one of my favourite girlbosses Sam Cusick, and how she has completely transformed my hair and also inspired me to achieve my goals, over the past few years.

If you haven’t heard of Samantha Cusick and her salon in Notting Hill, firstly where have you been? And secondly, you must visit if you’re in need of a hair transformation!

I first met Sam about 4 years ago whilst assisting for the gorgeous Tanya Burr.  Sam was always the first person to call if we needed hair styling for a shoot or for a hair refresh and I fell in love with her personality and her balayage skills instantly.  That summer I booked myself in for a much needed hair transformation and I haven’t looked back since.

Sam took a massive career jump almost two years ago and followed a dream of hers to open her very own salon and it’s now one of my favourite places in London.  If you visit, you absolutely have to try their Mermaid Martini cocktails (complete with glitter and popcorn) and see her & her incredible team work their magic on your locks.

One thing I love about her team is that they actually listen.  Going to the hairdressers has always been a source of panic for me in the past; they never listened to what I wanted in terms of colour and length and I always left really unhappy with a big hole in my wallet.  (One of my worst experiences was when salon staff laughed at me on the way out as they’d truly bollocked up my colour & cut so much length off and they knew it).

But Sam and her staff are accommodating to what I want and always get it right.  When I said I want lilacy grey they do it, when I said I wanted crazy opal mermaid hair, they did it perfectly, when I said I wanted natural with balayage or bright pink, it’s just always been perfect.

My next appointment at the salon is tomorrow and I’m going for a root refresh and some more lilac/grey toner and I can’t wait to show you the results!
