REVIEW: Face B4 Face Wash & Serum

I have bad skin, blah blah I admit it. It’s funny how my skin is the one thing that always, always gets me down and ruins my confidence.

Anyway, I’ve recently completed revamped my skincare regime and wanted to go through some of the products in detail.  First up is a face wash from a brand I hadn’t heard of until recently.  Face B4 is a brand dedicated to those who suffer who acne, blemishes and oily skin.

I’ve been using this for over a month now and it has made a difference.

It’s a combined cleanser & toner, containing two pumps which dispense into one foam puff which you then massage into wet skin, leave on for a minute or two and then rinse (I like to use a flannel). I do this after I’ve taken all of my makeup off with another remover (more details in my full regime post to follow) so it can thoroughly get to working on my bare skin.

Many facewashes I’ve used which have been specifically for acne in the past have left my skin looking & feeling worse than it originally did – red, stinging, dry and feeling so tight which often feels like it’s irritating my skin even more but this actually feels really gentle.

It is fragrance free, antibacterial and dermatologically tested to suit all skin types which makes it a winner in my opinion.  There is a serum available with this too but also helped (although I’ll admit I haven’t loved it as much as the wash, it smells a bit funky in my opinion) but makes a great little regime if your skin is suffering.

The face wash retails at £14.99 and the serum £9.99 and are avaialble from Boots stores and online.

Have you tried Face B4 products? What are your favourite cleansers for blemished skin?

Have you ever tried to adjust your diet? Maybe you are sensitive to certain things. The wrong food can certainly cause serious skin issues. It did for me. Don't eat junk food, eat whole and healthy diet with no preservatives. Limit your intake of empty calories, white flour, etc… I am sure you will see a difference. Bad eating habits can cause havoc on your lovely skin.

I haven't tried these but I suffer with (really) bad skin which is somehow also dry/dehydrated! I love superdrug's Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser as it's really gentle and my skin seems to like it. Xx

I have super sensitive skin and until a major diet recently have had acne for years. I love the body shop camomile cleanser, it's so gentle and makes my skin feel so soft, my skin goes mental when I don't use it!xx

This sounds really good, I've never tried any of the Face B4 products. I love to use Murad skincare when my skin is getting a little troubled xx

I think my favourite face wash has to be the Clean&Clear Andvantage one. It is pretty strong, though if I only use it at night (just a splash of water in the morning to clean my face) and only when my skin freaks out, then it really helps.
Can't wait to see what products you use in your full skincare post! Love, xx

Need to try this. I have had the same issues with acne-targeted products in the past. My skin is tricky- large pores, congested, oily etc- and I find lots of products leave my skin in a worse state.

I like the Elemis balancing lavender cleanser and liz earle's hot cloth cleanser. Skinetica and Avene products are great too! I tend to use a mild cleanser and then use treatments so despite its funky smell, perhaps the serum would suit me better.

I love the sound of these products! Shame I hadn’t heard about them sooner, as back at the beginning of the year my skin was having a right mare, but it has calmed down now!

I don't reccomend the cleanser as it dryed out and stung my skin. The spots didn't get smaller just irritated!

Recently my skin had broken out and my current skin care regime wasn't cutting it. So i got out my Clean and Clear Essentials Self Foaming Face wash. This works perfectly for me, it cleanses my skin without drying it out. It has only been a few days since i started using this again, and there is such a big difference. My skin looks so much better which makes me so happy.

This is such a nice review. Before trying to use any products most specially for our skin, we should learned from the reviews and feedbacks so that we will know if the product can't cause harm to us.
