I recently had a very exciting opportunity arise which I just couldn’t turn down! I was asked if I wanted to appear on a new Premium YouTube Channel called Body Talk Daily, on the sofa chatting to the Pixiwoo girls! I absolutely adore Pixiwoo and have been watching their videos for years so I jumped at the chance.
Pixiwoo’s Body Talk with Katie Snooks
I went on the show to talk all about DIY homemade beauty products. I tried and tested out five different homemade beauty products in the week’s leading up to the show so that I could tell the girls all about them and give them the lowdown on what’s good and what’s not!
On the show we talked about
– an olive oil & aloe vera makeup remover
– an avocado, honey and olive oil hair mask
– a sugar, honey and olive oil body scrub
– a chocolate and salt face mask
– and a beetroot lip & cheek stain
Give it a watch and let me know what you think! I think you can tell I’m a little nervous (you can spot me biting my lips a few times) but I loved my first ‘talk show’ type role and would love to do it again.
You can read & watch my first two DIY instalments on my experiments here (chocolate face mask) and here (avocado, honey & olive oil hair mask). I’ll be uploading my other trials very soon!
Do you have any favourite DIY beauty products? Did you enjoy this?

Really enjoyed watching this and the information is great on the products. I have tried an raw egg hair mask that ended up not going so good. I have also a tried 2 homemade face masks honey & avocado but normally stick to buying products but getting into making your own is a fun and good option :)x

I tried a recipe with olive oil for hair and it was also disaster, I had to wash my hair a few times to get rid of it, so I wouldn't to that ever again!
I usually do my body scrub with salt and oil though and it's my favourite!
How exciting! I love doing DIY masks and makeup. I use coconut oil to wash my face and remove all of my makeup. I also do an orange juice and baking soda mask about once a week.

Hey Katie, great video! Incredibly jealous that you got to meet/be interviewed by Pixiwoo!
I was just wondering..I think the makeup remover is fantastic! But I'm wondering if you'd consider using avocado oil to replace olive oil? I've heard many great things about avocado oil, that it's incredibly nourishing and good for the skin, but not as heavy as olive oil..Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it in any stores in London as of yet. :/ When I do, I will definitely give it a go, and let you know if you're interested!
