Pale Foundation Reviews – Your Requests!

One of my most popular blog posts was one I did a very long time ago; a round up of foundation reviews (pale ones, in particular).  I have acquired a lot of brilliant foundations since then and so I’ve decided to start doing full, in depth foundation reviews again!

Before I get into them, I want to ask you if there are in particular base reviews you want!  I’m happy to go out and purchase for review with my usual ‘before and after’ style photographs.  I have so many that I can’t wait to show you so I hope you’re ready!

Do let me know if there are any foundations you want reviewed in particular!

I'd love to see a review of any of the Bobbi Brown ones (the one you thinks best), because I've never tried any of those x

Looks like all those are liquids. I'd love some reviews of mineral powders, myself 🙂 If that's an option.

      Hi Christina,
I have the Estee Lauder Double Wear in the palest shade 1C0 the problem I have is its so pink! Its pale but still not quite pale enough for me so I mix it in with a white foundation or my palest yellow foundation (I'm neutral). I also find that it oxidises on my skin, you might be ok with it as i'm super oily but its seriously long wearing, just a shame about the pinkness. I've also never had a problem with getting samples off them : )

Can't wait to see these! I struggle to find foundations pale enough for me that don't turn me orange, Rimmel are the only ones I've tried that are pale enough, I'm looking forward to seeing them! xx

I'd just love to see some review of both drugstore and high end. I want to try a high end foundation again (I only have one) but finding one to match NW10 is very difficult haha!

I'm always looking for very yellow-toned foundations… But I guess you can't really review those with your skin, right?

    Hey Katie !
I have the same skin tone as you, most of the time i'm wearing the Skin Foundation by Bobbi Brown in shade Porcelain 0, but i'm looking for something with more coverage and i don't really find anyting… Could you try the Estee Lauder Double Wear for instance ?
    I don't bye anything on drugstore, i'm too allergic … :-/
I follow your blog for years now, sinon you've done the post on foundation for very pale skin actually, but it's the first time i drop a comment !
Have a very nice day 🙂

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, Gosh BB and CC creams, Laura Mercier foundations and tinted moisturizers, Clarins foundations… A week ago I was in Finland and searching the true foundation based on your previous reviews as I am a neutral/yellow undertoned ghost. I can never find a match in my own country, Turkey. They don't even bring the palest shades of any brands because noone else buys but only me 🙂 I wish this review had been done 2 weeks ago, but I am sure it will be wonderful and beneficial anyway! Thanks!

Hi Katie, I use Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base Mineral Foundation. They are mineral powders and I have 3 different shades (Ivory, Bisque and Satin) as I keep changing my mind on which one matches my pale skin best. Is it possible at all for you to please do a review on these? Thank you 🙂

    Hey Katie,

I was wondering if you could do Loreal- True Match.
Currently I wear W1 and it is my right shade but not something I can really wear in the winter as it does have more of a matte finish. I would love to compare it to other foundations that maybe more winter appropriate . Also maybe include which ones are good for combo skin with acne. Awesome to see a new pale foundation review as I started following you a few years ago because of you first one!

    Thanks a bunch.

Clarins illumination, and no7 airbrush – I love both but would like to know your thoughts and maybe even comparison?
