SKINCARE: My Favourite Facial Oils!

Facial Oils are something I’ve only recently started properly incorporating into my daily skincare regime and I honestly don’t quite know how I managed without them!  A while ago now I forwarded skincare goddess Caroline Hirons some pictures of my bare skin (which were quite honestly horrendous) and she gave me some directions on products I should be using and oils were one of them.

I wanted to share the three I’ve been using in my regime with you guys as I adore and fully recommend all of them!

Sunday Riley Artemis Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil:
This is the newest addition to my regime (and the most expensive at £95 a bottle) but one I have been seeing great benefits with!  Artemis is aimed at confused combination skin (EXACTLY my face); oily, prone to blemishes, inflamed and dull, but this is anti-inflammatory which means it doesn’t break me out at all, in fact, when I apply it before bed my skin looks glowing and plump the next morning!
The only downside to this product in my opinion (apart from the large price tag) is the smell.  It’s supposed to smell like lemons (which I love) but to me and Andrew it isn’t – he says it smells like men’s urinals!

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate:
I absolutely adore this bottle of goodness and it’s the one I use the most often!  My skin somehow always looks a lot clearer the morning after using this.  It smells great and you only need the tiniest bit to really make a difference.

Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil:
For those who are after a more affordable version of Artemis then have a look into this.  It’s for oily/combination skin and made from 100% plant extracts.

How I use facial oils:
Just to let you know, I use facial oils around 4 times a week before bed after taking my makeup off!  I pop a few drops on the palms of my hands, rub them together and then pat onto my face leaving me feeling really refreshed and hydrated before bed!

Do you use facial oils?  What’s your favourite?

I love oils. I tried the Sunday Riley Juno but it completely breaks me out overnight. So that's a nice little expensive mistake 🙁 can't bring myself to buy another SR just yet. But love a lot from her range.
I love clarins oils, they are beautiful. I haven't tried the khiels, been meaning too!

I've recently gotten into oils because my skin has been so dry and dull, I'm loving the AD Skin synergy night nourishing treatment which has helped my skin out so much! 🙂

The Sunday Riley oil sounds exactly what I need – my skin is definitely confused! It's such a combination, and i'm usually wary of oils in case they break me out. This one sounds perfect! I've been using Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate lately and it's made a huge difference to my skin. It's really helped my scarring too.

I've been debating if I should splurge on a Sunday Riley face oil, I just need to go to a Sephora and see if they have it in stores. I was reading about the strong smell so I have to see if it will bother me or not.

I've been using several oils, including the Clarins Blue Orchid oil. I've found them so great for layering under a moisturizer to treat my skin type!

I've read so many posts with people raving about how fantastic that Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate is, and I'm so torn – my skin is really picky, but I've seen before and afters that look amazing. It is on my list of things to try!

Hello Katie ! I also adore using oils in my skincare regime ! They are essential to me know ! They make such a difference on the skin, it's incredible isn't it ? 🙂

My favorites to use are avocado and argan oils. They are quite heavy, but they nourish and hydrate the skin like nothing else. Magic into oils I would say ! 🙂

I've been using Clarins for a while now. I've heard mixed reviews from other people, but I haven't had any issues. It's been one of my favorites.

Wow! I love those oils..Khiels and Clarins are my favourites too! I have tried the Clarins and found soothing for my skin like a moisturizer. Great Post:)

I've used Khiels and it did not suit me. Clarins worked for me and it soothes my skin really well. I have to try Artemis to see if it gets better results.
