REVIEW & SWATCHES: 5 CONCEALERS FOR PALE SKIN

If you watch my YouTube channel then you would have heard that I’ve currently been on the hunt for the perfect pale concealer.  This ‘hunt’ has lead me to purchase 5 new products which, after having been trying for a couple of months, I’m now ready to review for you today!

MAKEUP FOREVER FULL CONVER CAMOFLAGE CREAM:

I bought this from Sephora whilst on holiday at the beginning of August as I’d never tried their base products before but heard a lot about them.  This concealer is fantastic for covering blemishes and building up, but the lightest shade isn’t that light in the scheme of things!  I think this’ll be my new summer concealer as it’s definitely not suitable on my skin in the cooler months.  It was also more pricey than I expected, around £20)

NARS RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER IN CHANTILLY:

The most expensive out of the bunch (£22) but wonderfully enough it’s the perfect shade for my skin!  This is very, very similar to my all time fav concealer (Collection Lasting Perfection), except a little thinner.  This means I usually have to build up a little more to get a fuller coverage – it’s okay, probably wouldn’t repurchase as the Collection one is a fraction of the price!

BARRY M FLAWLESS LIGHT REFLECTING CONCEALER:

Again, very similar to Nars & Collection’s concealers but a lot more thin & watered down.  I would really adore this product if it was thicker as I feel like it’s too sheer to really cover bad blemishes.  Nice for under the eyes though and a great colour range.  For around £3/4 this is a bargain.

SOAP & GLORY KICK ASS:

This was a really, really pleasant surprise!  I had never used a Soap & Glory makeup item before picking this up in Boots last month and it was love from the first swatch.  This crayon is incredibly pigmented and even covers my tattoos (which you can see in my Boots Haul here).  I think this was around £8 and worth it completely!

MAYBELLINE ANTI-AGE ERASER EYE:

I have seen so many beauty gurus use this and it looked so fun that I decided I needed to try it myself.  I love everything about this apart from the colour – if it was paler it’d be my fav out of the bunch as I love the applicator and how easy it is to use.   Please bring out a paler shade Maybelline!  If you’re darker than me then I’m sure you’ll love this.  Think I paid around £8/9.

I hope this has helped some of you who are on the same hunt that I am!  I’m still on the lookout but in the mean time I now have an awful lot of concealers to use up 😉

What’s your favourite concealer?

xxxx

PS: Bought all of these with my own money!

I like the Maybelline one, but I recently purchased the NYX HD concealer in their lightest shade, and it's so pale that it's almost too light on me (which never happens for me!). I love it!

I absolutely love the Maybelline one! I have it in the "brightening" shade (I think that's what it's called) and it's perfect for under the eyes!

I don't have majorly pale skin, but I also find that finding the right shade for a concealer to use to cover blemishes can be super difficult.

I love love love the Nars concealer.

I really want to try out the Maybelline concealer – heard so many amazing things about it too. However, I'm not sure whether I love or hate the look of the applicator!

Nars Chantilly is my fave too as its the perfect colour for my skin, even collection lasting perfection goes orange on me! I've also found that Urban Decay Naked Weightless Concealer in Fair Neutral is the same shade as the Nars 🙂 x

What color of the maybelline concealer did you pick up? I first bought the shade "light" thinking it was the palest and it is not I now have "fair" and it is considerable paler than the light shade. It might be worth a look:)

These are some great choices, if you like the NARS but want a drugstore dupe the Maybelline FIT me works just a well and great coverage. Rimmel 2 in 1 perfect match, is another good one that I find is great for us paler folk. What a great post thanks for sharing !

Hi Katie! These all look like great concealers. I would also have to recommend giving Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer and Highlighter a try. Like you, I also have fair skin and I've been very impressed with the coverage and consistency of this product. Just started following your blog and I really like your posts so far 🙂

I'm really wanting to try the NARS concealer. The MUFE concealer is one of my favorite concealers, I used to wear it all the time but sometimes I forget to use it.

It's funny how difficult it is to find makeup if you happen to be on either extreme of the skin tone spectrum. I really like MAC's Select Cover-Up in NW15; it seems to match my skin tone, and stays on nicely all day. On a slightly related note, have you ever tried any of the Jane Iredale foundations? It's the only brand I have ever been able to find that makes a foundation in a shade that looks natural on my skin. If you ever do another pale foundations post, it might be worth a try.

I absolutely love Hard Candy's Glamoflage for those pesky dark circles and spots – you only need a teeny tiny bit and it lasts all day! Plus it's cruelty free! Kat Von D's version is also amazing and vegan 🙂

Such a great round up, as I struggle to find the perfect concealer for myself ever! 🙂

I love how yellow-toned the Soap & Glory one is!

I love it when you do posts like this as I'm also super pale. I love Kick Ass and the Maybelline Age Rewind although I agree that I'd like it to be paler.
My all time favourite concealer for both consistency, wear and a shade that's pale enough is Seventeen's Stay Time which I have sworn by for almost 2 years now but I don't hear enough people talking about it!

I use concelears on daily bases to cover up blemishes so I would love to try that one from Make up forever but for the under eye area I always go with Mac's Pro longwear in NC15 🙂

I love seeing posts like this because I have such pale skin as well and it's so hard to see what the colour will actually be on my skin. The Nars looks amazing and I will purchase the sheer glow foundation as well after seeing your other post about it.
