LIFESTYLE: Candle Obsessed!

Ever since moving into my own home with my boyfriend, I have become so obsessed with buying bits for the house and one of my absolute weaknesses are candles.

I seem to have accidentally bought a LOT of them over the past couple of months and so I thought I’d tell you about some of my favourites!  This is also a little sneak peak of my home & my ‘style’ of interior so I hope you like it!

Rituals Sacred Fire Candle: I’ve never owned a candle big enough for three wicks before so this has been incredible to burn; It really releases it’s gorgeous scent of patchouli and cedar wood for a musky, cosy atmosphere.  It also has a burning time of up to 70 hours which is incredible and I absolutely can’t wait to use the pot to store makeup brushes after it’s finished.  This candle was released as part of the Diwali collection last autumn and so I can’t wait to see what other limited edition ranges Rituals bring out!

IKEA ‘Knitted’ Style Candle: This candle has no fragrance but I instantly fell for it’s ‘knitted cotton’ look.  Only problem is it’s SO pretty I don’t want to burn it!

Long IKEA Candlesticks: IKEA are the best place for bulk buying candles in my opinion.  I really stocked up last time I went and got some long candlesticks to pop in some old quirky bottles I have.  Andrew and I have been trying to build up a really nice wax drips around the bottles for that rustic, shabby chic feel.

Urban Apothecary Bramble Jelly Candle: I’d never heard of Urban Apothecary candles before but they’ve become one of my favourite candle brands; just look at that gorgeous quilted jar for a start (another one I’ll be using for holding brushes when it’s ended)!  This candle is part of the Preserve collections which also includes scents like Lemon Curd & Orange Marmalade – delicious!  You can see their product range here.

Yankee: I also have to give big praises to Yankee candles as I have loads in every room of the house.  My favourites are their Christmas ones, particularly Fireside Treats and Cinnamon Stick!

I’ve really enjoyed writing this post up so let me know if you did too and I’ll show you more of my fav candles!  I’d love to know what you’d recommend too, I’m absolutely obsessed (and want any excuse to buy more)!

What’s your current favourite candles?

I love how youve used those bottles! I always keep any expensive drinks bottles I have but do nothing with them! Going to be popping candles in them tonight!

I'm someone who is quite sensitive to smell, so I don't have a favourite candle, but I'm definitely candle obsessed. Something about the light they create is so magical.

Love IKEA candles, so cheap and cheerful. Sainsbury's candles are also lovely if you're ever doing your food shop there – some of them are natural wax as well so smell gorgeous and burn really even/clean 🙂

The jar of the Urban Apothecary candle is so lovely, would be perfect for storing cotton buds as well.
I would love to try Jo Malone, I'm not quite ready to make that splurge.

Your home looks so pretty! I love candles and usually use tealights in various pots and holders I have. I love the Yankee candles.
We've got a few bottles with candlesticks in, best way to get the wax drips is by using another candle and melting/dripping down the bottle. Bit of a cheat but it works. 🙂

On a Wick and a Prayer candles are the best, however I am rather biased seeing as my Mum is the owner of the company 😉

I am also candle obsessed. So much so that I took up a part-time job on top of my full-time job as a Partylite candle party host. Very fun, and lots of candle product perks! P.S – I love the dinner candles in bottles <3

That knitted candle looks awesome. Too bad it is not scented! I would not burn it either because 1. it is just too pretty and 2. because it is not scented. I really only get candles for the scent but I may shop around for some just for their looks now.

My favorite candle right now is a Christmas scent I got from Bath and Body Works. It is out of stock right now so I am savoring the last burn.

My second favorite is called Pink Sugar Berry and I got it from Walmart. It smells a little bit like cotton candy and is a lovely shade of pink.
