REVIEW: Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette Swatches!

DEAR DIARY,

I HAVE A PROBLEM AND CAN’T RESIST URBAN DECAY PALETTES.

If you’re a cool-toned, pale gal like myself or enjoy natural taupe eye looks, Naked Basics 2 would be great for you.  It contains 6 neutral shades, most of which are matte apart from Skimp which has a slight shimmer, which work beautifully together to create an easy to wear nude look.

I’ve been using this daily for the past couple of weeks, with Skimp as a base, Primal into the crease of my eye, Undone smoked out in the outer corner and when a mix of Cover, Primal & Undone under my lower lash line for my signature sultry come-to-bed eyes (lolz).

I love the packaging of this palette, it’s sturdy, small enough to fit in my makeup bag, has a good size mirror for applying makeup and perfect for travelling with.  It retails at £22 and I’m now lusting after the original Naked Basics palette as I haven’t tried that yet!  Maybe if I do get it I’ll do a comparison for you!

Are you a fan of neutral shadow palettes?  Have you got the original Naked Basics?

I don’t own with er Naked Basic palette from UD. In all honesty I have never really wanted to own a small palette consisting of just matte shadows. But after falling in love with my Lorac Pro Palette and it’s matte shadows, having something smaller like this is tempting!

I have the original palette and I love it! I probably don't need the second palette but it doesn't stop me wanting it! 😉

Hi. I was just wondering if it came with the brush or was that separate? I've never seen the brush before…

This one is just kinda blah to me, to be honest. The first four shades are so light and similar. Not for me, this palette.

It is such a nice palette, and I will get so much use out of it. I own all the Naked palettes, and I would never be without them.

I absolutely love naked palettes and neutral colours are my fave! The Naked 1 palette is definitely s favourite of mine x

  24. October 23, 2014 / 11:19 pm

I have all the Naked palettes and Basics 1 except for this new one! I really didn't use the Naked Basics all that much though, except for travel, so I think I'm going to skip this one. Plus, I have the Coastal Scents 28 Neutral so I'm set for matte shades at the moment.

What is the brush like? I'm really intrigued that it comes with a brush. Is it similar to the Naked 3 brush, which IMO is the best brush of the 3?

I love neutral tone eye looks, I have the Naked Basics 1 and Naked 3 which I have used pretty much daily since buying. I might have to invest in this one too! you can never have too many nude eye shadows right? x
