REVIEW: Collection Mascara Comparison!

Along with foundation and skincare, I think mascara’s are one of the beauty products which has taken me years to find my favourite.  I rarely buy the same mascara twice because there are SO many out there to choose from and because I’m always certain there will be a better one out there for me!

I’ve decided to start reviewing mascara’s in bulk, by range, in an attempt to help some gals out there decide on what they think might work best for them!

First up, are 3 mascaras from Collection!

Super Size Fat Lash Mascara £2.99:
I had high hopes for this baby but it was honestly my least favourite of the three.  I felt it was really difficult to build up a good coating, despite having a big fat brush and it instead just really separated my lashes and combed them through.  Saying that, I know some mascara’s take a while to dry out to a good formula but it was still my least fav.

Lengthening Mascara £3.99:
This was my second favourite of the three and I think you can see in the middle image above, just how long it made my lashes.  It really promises to lengthen and it does just that, whilst coating a nice black shade on my lashes.

Big Fake Curves £4.99:
This came out trumps at #1!  I’ll admit, the brush is whacky, big and a little messy due to it’s shape, but I found it made my lashes look their best out of the three.  As I wear quite dark, heavy liner daily, I need a mascara which makes them stand out and this has the thickness to make them long and defined.  I did need to clean up after I use this though so have cotton buds at hand!

There we have it!  I hope you found this post helpful. This was the first time I had tried Collection Mascaras and for the price, I’m throughly impressed!  For under £5 is fantastic and I’ve found two new mascara’s which I love!

What’s your favourite highstreet mascara?  Have you tried a Collection Mascara before?

I love love love the Rimmel Argan Oil one as it's just produced great results, and I love the brush as I find it easier to apply.

I have actually never heard of that brand before, is it only sold in the UK? My favourite mascara at the moment is the Bare Minerals mascara… It lengthens, defines and separates without making my lashes really clumpy.

Love this post! I've never actually tried a Collection mascara but I think the Lengthening & Big Fake Curves look right up my street. Plus, I could get them both for under a tenner 🙂

Great post! The second one makes your lashes so long, i must try that! I agree, the third looks the most 'standout' of the three – i'll definitely have to try them both! xo

Great post! I have the Super Size mascara and I must say I think it's okay! I definitely isn't a show stopper but for me, it's decent enough. You can totally see how amazing the Big Fake one makes your lashes look though so I might have to give that one a try!

I have never tried a collection mascara before , I usually would just go for Maybelline(which is probably my favourite drugstore for mascara, I highly recommend them). But now I might just give them a go:)

It's great that you have showed the actual brush applicator of the mascaras! It's really helpful. I'd go for the Collection Lengthening mascara as the brush is a shape that I have never used before. Hopefully I can get my hands on it! 🙂 x

I have never tried a collection mascara before, but similar to you I love wearing winged liner daily, which means I need a mascara which enhances my lashes greatly! Definitely want to try 'Big Fake Curves' now! My current faves are L'oreal volume million, and a maybelliene 'falsies'!

Fantastic post. I'm the exact same when it comes to trying to find a 'better' one, usually ends up with one that's worse if anything. I have tried a couple collection mascaras and never been overly impressed. I love the first one and how it looks on your lashes actually. I totally agree with mascaras becoming a better formula as they begin to dry out this is def the case with MUA lash boom mascara, hated it at first – love it now!!

The best one by FAR is Younique's 3d mascara. It's huge in America and is only becoming available in the UK as of November 1st. It literally makes you look like you have false eyelashes on… and doesn't flake. Here is a link to buy it – don't know if it will work yet in Britian: http://www.youniqueproducts.com/KimberlyMayo – just a bit more than store mascara – but worth it. I don't know how to upload a photo…. but should be easy enough to google 🙂

I recently purchased the Collection Does It All which is supposedly a 5 in 1 product. I have heard a lot of people recommend it so thought that I would give it a go myself and have actually found to really like it although when it comes to removal it can seem a bit clumpy and hard to move. It is long wearing, ultra black, waterproof and gives the same sort of finish as the Benefit They're Real mascara. I would definitely recommend this product!

I think I'd go for that "Big Fake Curves" that will surely fit perfectly for that Halloween party I'll be going at tonight..
