REVIEW: Braun World’s 1st Cleansing Brush & Mini Epilator

Braun has just launched the world’s first 2-in-1 facial device.  The nifty design consists of a facial epilator and cleansing brush in one.
I’m super lucky to be one of the first to review this today and so read about my thoughts below!

On first impressions this has been a really well thought out little device.  It comes with a makeup pouch & magnifying mirror (with an inbuilt light) which makes it perfect for travelling with if you use your cleansing brush daily.  It also has a little pink ‘cap’ for the epilating head keeping it clean and hygienic.

The Cleansing Facial Brush is lovely and an absolute joy to use.  I’ve never used one before (I know! I must be the only beauty blogger not to have tried one) but it makes my skin feel ridiculously soft and clean, getting rid of all imperfections.  I like to wet my face, add a drop of face wash onto the head of the brush and then power it up.  It boasts the fact that it works 6 times better than manual exfoliation which makes washing my face quick and precise.  They also recommend changing the brush every 3 months, and you can also change the rotation of which the brush spins to help cleanse hard to reach areas.

Now, onto the epilator!  I’ll admit straight away that the fine hairs above my top lip & between my brows annoy the hell out of me and I’ve done all sorts to try and get rid of them.  I used to wax but as my skin is sensitive it used to flare up in pimples after reacting with the wax gel.  So I am SO happy I now have a product small and precise enough to get rid of those pesky hairs.  This epilator works 200 times faster than manual tweezing (so even though it’s a little painful as you would expect it to be, it’s quick and over before you know it).
It can also remove hair 4 times shorter than waxing which means you don’t have those painful ‘in between visits’ hair growth.  Like the facial brush, you can rotate the direction of the epilator to remove all hair growth in whatever direction it grows and it is small enough to fit between my brows which is impressive.

This has become one of my go-to facial accessories.  It helps to achieve the perfect base for your favourite makeup look and break free from impurities.

Braun have recently launched their new Break Free Campaign (fronted by the gorgeous Jessica Alba), which encourages women to support eachother to break free from self doubt and feel their best.  I think this campaign is fantastic – women are often the first to judge each other and put each other down and so along with Braun’s range of beauty tools and coming together, we can break free from imperfections together. You can watch the positivity chain and upload yours to join in the movement here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbdUXFZl18o

The Braun Face retails at £69 from Boots!

Do you use a facial brush and epilator?  What are your thoughts?!

That's so handy that it's an epilator too – so many beauty brushes out at the moment but this is the first 2 in 1 that I have seen!

I think this is a really great device, but after using an epilator on my legs years ago and crying out in pain, I think it'll be hard for me to jump on the bandwagon with this one! Really happy it works so well for you though 🙂 x

Wow, this looks like a joy to use! It also sounds pretty amazing! Especially the cleansing brush, and I don't fancy splurging on the clarisonic but for a two in one product I might!

I have this one, but I only use the epilator. And I think it hurts like a mofo, especially on cheek fluff and upper lip hair. But it's worth it, pain > looking like a yeti.

This is a good one. braun is a world class brand. it is of good quality. http://www.epilator.us/ cab provide us more info about this.

Katie, IIcompletely agree that the Braun Face precisely picks up pesky hairs on the upper lip and between the eyebrows very well. It is unlike any other facial epilator. One feature that I have come to love is the switch which makes the epilator rotate in different directions. This means that you can approach the hair from different angles depending on how you hold it. The cleansing brush really surprised me. It's not a clarisonic but it is half the price and works almost as well. I just wish it was rechargeable.

hat said, I'd love to try an epilator. I find shaving every other day and absolute chore and if it meant I got away with only doing my legs weekly I'd try and suffer the pain! …although I still use Bonjela to numb my eyebrows before plucking, so perhaps I'm not that brave! lol http://www.thewritegirl.co.uk/

I've been using epilators for a long time now. But I haven't use this braun epilator till now. It seems pretty cool with its functions. I'm going to try this one also. There are some other epilators. You can see the best epilator reviews here! Hope it will be helpful for you girls. 🙂

i used to use the Braun Silk Epil Comfort epilator some years back…then the blades got blunt after some time, and I haven’t gone back to the epilator since…but its so much more comfy than waxing, if you are using it regularly

Great post and an article review. It looks like really that's one of the best if not the best cleansing epilator at the moment. The only downside I can point out would be changing the brush every 3 months, but they're cheap so it's not a big deal. Best body groomer

This is quite an informational post. I loved the idea you have kept significantly. Although changing the brush frequently would hurt a bit but that should not be any issue.

Great post. Articles that have meaningful and insightful comments are more enjoyable, at least to me. It’s interesting to read what other people thought and how it relates to them or their clients, as their perspective could possibly help you in the future.
