REVIEW: Urban Decay Black Eye Liners!

Eyeliners are my thing.
I’ve tried a hell of a lot of them and over the years have found some good’uns that I keep coming back to.  One of my fav brands, Urban Decay, have recently launched 4 new formats of black eyeliner which I’ve been testing out and can now reveal my thoughts on!

Ultra Intense Waterproof Cream Eye Liner & Brush:  I adore gel liners as they give an effect that no other liner can – a soft, gentle line which you can build up to create a create flick in any shape you want.  This gel liner is super creamy but stays put once applied so you can rely on it to keep your eyes looking smouldering all day long.  The brush that is available alongside the gel is also great, thin and slanted to help apply either thin or thick lines.

Waterproof Precision Eye Pen: This may just be my favourite of the bunch.  This liquid liner has the most fine nib which allows me to create the most precise cat eye flick which really does last all day.  I have to use an oil (Shu Umera Cleansing Oil to be precise) to remove this in the evening as otherwise remnants can be left on the skin.  This has become my handbag staple and I need to repurchase another soon.

24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil: This is a typical black kohl crayon which I’ve been using on and underneath my waterline to create a gorgeous smokey eye. This smudges beautifully under the lower lash line with a blender brush to give a sultry effect.

All Nighter Eye Liner: This is super similar to the Glide-On Pencil but waterproof and therefore long lasting. This is perfect if you’re going to be out all day with minimal time to re-apply, or if you are planning to party the night away!

I have to admit I’ve absolutely fallen in love with these products and it almost makes me want to get rid of all my other liners as these suit every need!

They’re available online and on Urban Decay counters and I’ll definitely be topping up when I run out.

What’s your favourite type of liner?  Will you be giving these a try?

I am not great at applying eye liner, I use the L'Oreal Super Liner Blackbuster which is super easy to use. Might need to give one of these a try.

This is such a great review! I'm so glad you chose to do a brand-wide eyeliner review – so inventive! I too love gel liners, but the eyeliner pen here looks amazing. The tip is so fine! Ehmehgerd. I need to test this out. Recently I've been loving using Too Faced's Perfect Eyes Waterproof eyeliner – I just wrote a post about it actually! It's a gel formula in a pencil so it's really interesting. I've also been loving just pressing some black UD shadow into my lashline instead of using eyeliner – it's more natural looking and summery at the moment.

I've seen these used in a lot of videos and i'm really developing a love for these! Think they may be my next purchase πŸ™‚

I heard so many good things about the eyeliners from Urban Decay but it's hard to decide which one to try first πŸ˜‰

I prefer either a gel liner or a liquid liner, I'm currently loving Rimmel Exaggerate eye liner and Maybelline eye studio gel liner. Never tried any of the Urban Decay ones but I'm tempted!

I really love liquid liners! i think they;re really easy to apply and they don't budge the way pencil liners do. I must confess that my liner is the cheapest thing in my make up bag as i bought it from Superdrug's 2true range but its incredible better than the MAC one i bought!

I'm definitely a pen eyeliner kind of girl, I'm using a bourjois one at the moment and It's actually really good! I'm tempted to shell out on the benefit one swell but now I'm going to have to add this precision eye pen to my list!

Great post! Been tempted to try other Urban Decay liners, but I love 24/7 pencils so much I can't bring myself to stray! I think I have them in about 20 colours, total love. They last brilliantly yet are easy to remove at the end of the day. Might have to give the precision eye pen a go for nights out though!

My favourite type is a pen liner, I just love the control it gives. Although I'd like to try gel liners again since the first time I tried one, it dried up quickly in the container because of the shimmer it has… really a bummer though.

My fav type of liner would definitely be LIQUID eye liner pens! So will definitely be trying out the Waterproof Precision Eye Pen. I love them because they help me in creating the perfect winged liner (which i could still use a lot of practise on)

I'm not a fan of the brush for the gel liner, I will have to try it more because I've really struggled to do a thin line with it… The pen looks interesting though, as do the velvet one… πŸ™‚ xx
