September Beauty Favourites 2013!

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all well.  As usual, I’m back at the end of the month with a post and video showing you my favourite products from the past few weeks!  This month does have a slight theme to it, which is high-end!

I’m not normally one to wear a full face of expensive products (I can’t resist my usual high street brands) but this month I’ve seemed to be using quite a few of them.  I think it’s as we are entering autumn, it’s getting colder and the days shorter, it’s been nice to treat myself to some more luxurious products to combat the blues.  Anyway, here are my top beauty picks!

September Favourites!

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Palette: If you need one palette in your life, I can assure you it’s this one.  Normally with palettes there are a few shades which you adore and wear regularly, and others which aren’t as loved and don’t get much use.  In this palette, however, there isn’t one shade which I haven’t used and loved.  All of the colours are wearable, gorgeous and perfect for all skin tones.  I love this more than my Naked palette, and that’s saying something.

YSL Rouge #51: To perk up my face and stop it looking too dreary in this cold weather, I’ve been using this.  This is the most perfect bright, orange coral lippie which leaves my pout looking vibrant and kiss-able.  It’s pigmented, smells gorgeous and the packaging is to drool over.

Clarins Ever Lasting Foundation in #103: I have done a full review of this which you can read here, with before and after pictures!  This has been my most worn foundation of the month, it leaves my skin looking flawless yet natural and I can’t get enough of it!

Magnifibres:  The thought of putting fibres anywhere near my lashes makes me shudder, but boy, I couldn’t live without this beauty now.  It’s an odd product, but if you are a hater of false eyelashes, like I am (who wants gluey, uncomfortable falsies on all day?) then you will adore this.  After applying your usual mascara, coat them in a topping of this whilst still wet, allow it to stick for a minute or two and then apply another coat of your mascara and you will have the longest, fluttery lashes your town has ever seen.  I have been wearing this daily, I just can’t get enough of it!

Murad Clarifying Mask: I’ve been suffering with terribly oily skin for the past few months and whilst moaning to my girlfriends about it, Zoe recommending using a clay mask.  I dug around in my skincare sample box and found this baby.  It’s a clay mask, suited best for oily skin and it really does the trick.  I leave this on for 10 minutes, wash off and my face is almost oil free for a week.  I’ve used it so much now I’m going to have to invest in a full size soon!

What products have  you been loving over the past month?

I really adore the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palette, all the shades look so pretty. Magnifibres also looks quite cool, I'd really like to try it out for during the day as I only wear false lashes on nights out. xxx

i know what i'm asking for, for my birthday. the bobbi brown palette looks fantastic, it really brings a warmth to the eyes, so perfect for this autumn winter. i really like golden/bronze eyeshadows over the top of brown eyeshadows what do you think? like as in a light dust over.

I'm a bit of a Murad convert I must admit – I actually met Dr Murad on Saturday which was amazing! If you're interested in their products be sure to check out my latest blog entry. I was at the first ever Murad Day Spa Retreat and was treated to their Glycolic Peel and a face skin – it was fantastic!
