Holland & Barrett: Products to help you sleep!

Holland & Barrett is one of my favourite stores on the high street.  I always go in there and leave equipped with banana flavoured soya milk cartons and plenty of pistachio and cashew nuts.  However, I never usually look at the other products in the store; the more beauty based ones!  Well, H&B recently sent me a box with specific products selected from their store to help improve sleep!  I personally do have trouble sleeping quite a bit (in fact my whole family does) so I was really excited to see what beauty products H&B recommended for a good nights sleep.

HOLLANDNABARRETT

Wonder Oil £10.99– I love a good multi-purpose product and this has gone straight to the top of my favourites!  This wonder oil can be used as a body oil, bath oil, hair oil, to massage cuticles, as a massage oil, the possibilities are endless!  So far I have already used it as a bath and body oil (it left my skin super soft and moisturized) and as a hair oil (I added a few drops to my conditioner and applied it to the ends of my hair, again, leaving my hair silky and soft).  This smells just divine as well; it’s packed with citrus based essential oils like lemon, grapefruit etc so it has a very zesty!

Black Cherry Concentrate £11.69– I didn’t know this, but black cherries contain melatonin, which is the chemical your body produces to make you feel tired which helps you sleep.  I actually have melatonin pills from my doctors as my whole family suffer with sleep, but this has really intrigued me!  You add a few drops of this concentrate into a cup of water and drink it 30 minutes before bedtime and it’ll help you fall asleep!  It sounds much more healthy than the pills I often take so I’m really looking forward to trying this out (hoping it doesn’t taste too bad either!).

Lavender Oil £4.99– I’m already a big fan of lavender oil to help relax me; I normally add a few drops to my bath, mix it in with a body lotion before bed, or put a few drops on a tissue under my pillow (such an old granny, I am!) before bed to sleep soothe and relax me.  I think every household needs a little bottle of Lavender oil at hand for stressful situations!

Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Night Cream £9.49 – My skin is really acting up at the moment and is dry, oily, blemished and sensitive all at the same time, so I’m looking forward to trying this new organic night cream out.  I love argan oil (for my hair in particular) so I’m hoping this will have the same positive effects!  This cream, on first glance, is very thick and I’m sure will be fantastic for sorting out extra dry skin (you could probably even use it on elbows and hands too!).

I really, really adore every product in this box.  I think it’s a great idea for H&B to promote specific beauty products from their store as I would never have known that all these treats were available!  I’d love to see H&B put together another box of beauty products throughout the year; I’m thinking a detox box and even a ‘get your body summer ready’ box would be incredible!

All products mentioned are available to purchase from Holland and Barrett stores!

Will you be picking any of these products up?  What are your beauty product sleep tips?

These products were sent to me but all my opinions are honest and trustworthy!

    These look great.

No sleep tips fromme, sorry, always had sleep problems linked with other health conditions

But lavendar oil is useful for so many things, as well as the scent being good for sleep it's actually really helpful for hayfever. Popping a bit of oil on pulse points, and around the nose if you
don't mind it, can do wonders. So another helpful aspect of lavender! If you have any hayfever suffering friends that may help 🙂

OOoo so many of these sound nice! Lavender oil is really relaxing.. I want to get the Lavender Yankee Candle actually as that sounds and smells amazing so maybe that will help to.

I haven't heard of the black cherry concentrate but it sounds nice!

I have some pillow sprays and this minty balm to apply on the pressure points.. I always fall asleep quite fast when I use them, so I'm quite happy! At the moment I'm using Ritual's Yin Bed & Body Mist & the This Works duo.

Lovely post. I also love lavender (and organic products) as it really relaxes me on a night. Neoms lavender candles (I have one called relax) are amazing as they have essential oils in them. Worth a try if you find it hard to sleep.

I have tried so many things, nothing helps. Sleeping pills used to work, but now I just stay awake when I take them and go on a weird trip instead of to sleep. Terrible 🙁 I doubt any of these would help me.

Omg! This is so helpful – I have troubled sleep alot – I may go and purchase some of these.

My insomnia is getting out of hand.

Wow, she's so beautiful!!! Anyway, thanks for sharing these information. I think i need to try those stuffs. Love the lavander oil. After seeing all those body soothing products, made me want to again have a bath. 🙂 On the other hand, I've read comments about sleeping problems. I must say that you should not take these signs for granted. Better consult your doctor and have yourself assess.- www.cheapcpapsupplies.com

I like the selection of oils. Like you, i only use a small amount of lavender oil as it can be harmful to the skin in large amounts!
