Power to Generation M (Photography!)

Since graduating with a photography degree in 2011, a camera has never ever left my side.  I practically take one everywhere and shoot absolutely anything that inspires me, and the only brand of camera I have ever used is of course, Canon.  I have a powershot which I carry around in my handbag and I use a 7D or 350D for photography work and blogging.  Canon is a brand which I love and will use for the rest of my photography career (you can see my photog website here) (also – I haven’t really spoken about this on my blog before but I actually started shooting weddings this year and enjoy it so much that I hope to do more of it!).

Anyway, enough about me, Canon have recently launched a new camera, the EOS M (which might I add I am already drooling over!).  To celebrate the launch, Canon selected 5 influential people and challenged them to create an original piece of art with the new camera.  Being a beauty obsessive, Sophie Beresiner’s video is my personal favourite (although all five videos are all inspiring and want to make me get out there and shoot!).  Sophie is the editor of Look magazine (I actually met her a few years ago and definitely had a fan girl moment).  In her video she creates a still life photograph with a beauty editorial twist.

I urge you to have a watch of the videos if you are into art and also a photography geek.   You can watch all of the videos over at this link here on the vice website!

Are you a Canon lover like me?  Would you guys like to see some of my photography work?

I'm excited to have a play with the new Canon. I've always wanted one, but at the moment I use either Olympus or my boyfriends Sony Nex 5n. I'm on on phone just now but when I get home I'll be checking out your photography. I graduated last year too but I did Fine Art, I did photography though. Glad to find another beauty blogger/photographer!

I brought my first camera a few months ago and I chose a canon. I love it but I’m still learning how to take the best photos for my blog. I would love to see more of your photography and any tips you can give would be great! I met you briefly at the BDB event last week, it was lovely to meet you 🙂 x

I've been following your blog for quite some time and never knew that about you, I use a nixon camera, but I'm no where near the standard you are, with blogging or with photography. This looks amazing though and I'd love to try it out

After spending most of my time watching YouTube videos and reading beauty Blogs for years, I treated myself to an early Christmas present in the form of the Canon 600D last week and I absolutely love it.

I worked with Rosie Hardy (http://www.rosiehardy.com/) on a project once and she was incredible and her work is so inspiring. You should definitely post more photography and tips would be great! 🙂 xx

I was considering doing photography at uni, but I decided against it, and I'm almost regretting that decision! I do love my Canon though, I bought it a few years ago for my 15th birthday and I still have the same camera now (Canon 1000D). I'd love to see some of your photography¬

I love my canon digital camara! It's the best one I've ever owned by a mile- the shots come out so well, and they're quite flattering as well! Would love to see some of your pics! Rosy http://rostinted.blogspot.co.uk/ x

OMG!! I LOVE HOW CREATIVE PEOPLE CAN BE!
I also love taking pictures and I have started experimenting with my usual digital camera, but also with my reflex one. I hope I had more time and better climate (since I get ill so easily) to go out and spend hours taking photographs. I'd love to see your works for sure! 🙂 I just discovered you today and I'm in love with your blog and youtube channel. Best regards from Spain.
