Famous Cosmetics ‘First Date’ Blush Review!

I love blushers, but definitely go through phases of wearing them.  I’m also that type of girl that when I find a blusher that I love, I wear it constantly, non-stop, and can’t get enough of it.  Well, when this arrived for me at home I was going through a no blusher stage, until I laid eyes on this that is!
famous cosmetics blusherfamous first date blusherBLUSHER (I overexposed the photograph above slightly, sorry!  But you can still kind of see the colour of the blush on my cheeks!)
This Famous First Date Blusher in ‘Penelope’ is exactly my kind of colour.  I love matte pink shades that include a hint of brown as I find they really compliment my pale skin and help to emphasize my cheek bones as well as add a natural flush of colour to my cheeks.  As soon as I saw this colour in the pan I knew I was going to love it and I really do.  The texture is perfect, lovely and smooth and it is also pigmented so you don’t need to use to much to achieve the perfect amount of colour.
I am super impressed with this product and will definitely be running to a Superdrug store soon to check out the other colours in the range.  The First Date Blushers retail at £4.99 and are available online here and in Superdrug stores nationwide!

Have you tried anything for the Famous range?  What is your favourite natural blusher?

This looks like a rosier version of Nars Douceur, I think i'd prefer it to the Nars! Douceur was just a bit too grey for my liking

I love the famous range so much!

Am spoilt as a London girl cos I can access it pretty much whenever I want.
Would definitely recommend it for it quality in the chemist/ drugstore price bracket for quality.

Like one of the previous comments I was definitely IN LOVE with one of the lipstick shades from the previous range – Famous by Sue Moxley – which came in the cutest cuboid packaging but now no longer exists!

Anyway, mourning aside, the current range is super too. I have the 'Angelina' blush – a deep rose with almost peachy undertones – would highly recommend to olive skinned beauties. Have got 3 of the lipglosses which are incredibly pigmented – one is even iridescent (a bit like those famous Inglot ones). Got some nailpolishes too though haven't tried them out yet… Have their 'High 5 eyeshadows' in most of the colours and are of a very good quality. Why not give them a go while they are on offer? Also have some of their merged eyeshadows which are very softly shimmery. All beautiful but do have some fallout and not available in a very big colour range. may be a problem for some but not for me as I like neutrals best.

I also have the leopard palette, which I bought as a treat as I can't really bring myself to fork out for the 2 Naked palettes or some of the Too Faced ones which I have loved every time I have swatched! Will probably get the big cat and zebra palettes while they are on promotion even though I'm not that into blue eyeshadow just cos they are dirt cheap at the moment. Am a tad concerned that they have almost identical colours for eyes so will have to check that out first.

Was on their site jst now to check shade name and they have 1/2 price on EVERYTHING plus free nail glitter gift set on orders over a tenner. Check it out! Plus the store location is no longer a problem for any rural beauties out there! 😀

    Hope this helps girls.

Thanks for your lovely swatches Katie!
