With less than a week until the start of the Olympics, I thought I’d bring you a review and some swatches of Sleek Makeup’s newest i-divine palette. The 2012 palette celebrates London and the excitement surrounding it hosting the Olympics this year, read on for what I think!
The first thing I love about this palette is the names of the individual eye shadows. Having lived in London/been on the District line my whole life, it is pretty cool to see the London Underground Tube lines in eye shadow formats. Secondly, I love the fact that there is a range of neutral shimmery shades (the top row) along with a mix of brights (bottom row) so you can easily add a bit of colour to your look.
My favourite’s in this palette are – Bakerloo, Jubilee, Nothern, Picadilly and Victoria. I am really disappointed with Platform – the matte grey shade. It has hardly any colour pay off and no pigmentation. I also wish Tube, the first creamy gold shade, was a little more pigmented.
The price of Sleek eyeshadow palettes is fab – only £6.99 for a great quality palette. I think I have every single Sleek palette now (with the exception of two) and I adore them all and use them all the time. They are great for building up what I like to call a ‘wardrobe of shadows’ to play around with.

I have just discovered this blog and have thoroughly enjoyed perusing it!
I myself am an avid fan of Sleek eyeshadows (well any, really, but those especially!) and think this palette is gorgeous, as well as making me more nostalgic for London (just returned from Lovely London (used to live there) back to where I now live and work, Vietnam, and have to say I might have to order the palette on ebay!).
In terms of application:
Concealer all over the lid first, to make it really 'sticky', making the eyeshadow longer lasting or, er more 'sticky'!
Then:
It would have to be a little smidge of the canary-yellow 'Circle' in the inner corners of the eye, blended into 'District' on the beginning of the lid (lovely peacock/teal green; should offset and accentuate the 'Circle'), this would then blend into 'Victoria' (on the middle of the lid, coincidentally used to be my old tube line); 'Picaddily' in the outer corners and within the crease to add oopmph and definition! On the lower lashes- pretty much the same 4 colours blended in order of ligtest to darkest, along the lash line, with Picaddily, the darkest, being at the outer corner of the eye; and lashings of blue mascara in the outer corner bottom lashes.
I often use at least 3-4 colours/shades when applying make up; it's like having a paint palette to play with and much more fun than using one colour alone (never feels as though it has any real 'depth').

Just discovered this blog and have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed perusing it!
I love the Sleek Palette and would make use of the canary yellow/gold 'Circle' on the inner corners, which I would then blend into the gorgeous-looking peacocky/teal green 'District', which would have covered the first third (inner) of the eye lid. For the main/middle part of the lid, I would use Victoria (used to be my old tube before I moved to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam a year ago; these shadows have made me sooo nostalgic for London, though I was there on a visit till the beginning of last week), as Victoria is quite a powerfully shimmery blue. In the outer corners and the socket line, for oomph, it would have to be Picaddilly, but applied using a wet brush for extra pigmentation transference, so that it is almost like paint!
I would then use my fingers above the socket line to add a little of the Circle yellow colour for highlighting!
