Essie Launch Celebrations!

Essie is a nail polish brand that I had been hoping would make its appearance on the UK high street for a very long time now.  I remember even asking a few American exchange students at my university to send me some over because it used be quite difficult to get hold of them over here!!  Fast forward to this Spring and Essie have just launched in Boots and Superdrug in the UK.

To celebrate, over the long bank holiday weekend for the Queen’s Jubilee, the Essie team sent their 6 best manicurists out and about on the streets of London to pamper the public with free manicures!  The team were armed with their 12 best selling shades that customers could choose from for their manicure – Cute as a Button, Tart Deco, Mint Candy Apple, Lilacism, Fiji, Lapiz of Luxury, Ballet Slippers, Watermelon, Splash of Grenadine, Muchi Muchi, Flawless, Mademoiselle… my personal favourites being Mint Candy Apple and Tart Deco.

A few of the locations visited by the Essie team included Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, White City shopping centre, Kensington Palace Gardens, South Kensington, and at the Jubilee parties near Buckingham Palace and Hampton Court Palace!  I popped along to the Piccadilly Circus Boots store to pick up a few Essie leaflets and take a look at the new Essie nail polish stand (and drool at all the beautiful shades!) and snapped a few pics whilst I was there –

I spoke to the manager of the Boots store in Piccadilly circus who said the free manicures were going down a storm – I would have loved to have met the team and got my nails done but unfortunately they were so busy I couldn’t even get to them!

Did you get your nails done by Essie this weekend?  What’s your favourite Essie nail polish?

I actually squealed when I saw the new Essie stand in my local Boots! I can't wait to try all the shades, but I think I am going to wait(if I can) for when they do a 3 for 2 across make-up or when I have enough points on my Advantage card.

I love the look of Ballet Slippers, Flawless and Mint Candy Apple.
